1. FOLLOW the schedule that Mrs. Kirch sets for you. Once you fall behind, it's very hard to catch up. You need to be able to keep up with your work at the pace that is set for the class in order to succeed. You only make your life easier by no procrastinating.
2. It may become be boring and seem useless in the beginning but, the videos really do help. You can try to become more active on the computer in order to get more comfortable with the amount of technological use within the classroom. Believe me, at first, I wanted nothing to do with the blog posts, mentor mob playlists, or wsqs. However, over time, I found that they had real reason behind them and they had helped me learn on a deeper level. Many teachers teach you things solely for the purpose of you passing their test. The amount of extra technological work that Mrs. Kirch incorporates into her teaching schedule allows for you to have the ability to maintain the knowledge that she gives you.
3. You can expect MUCH to be different from your other classes. For one, you watch videos and do your classwork at home and come to class do to your homework. What else could you ask for? Also, you get a lot of attention from Mrs. Kirch which helps you much more if you're trying to understand a confusing concept. You can also expect that most of your assignments will be due online rather than on paper. The reason she does this is to help create a sense of comfort for you when you work on the computer. Mrs. Kirch realizes that times are changing and everything is influenced by the internet now. By incorporating a large amount of her teaching regime with technology, she is preparing you for the future.
